To obtain a Printer Query File – Windows PC only

Via Printer Properties – Tools Tab

(Generation 1 & 2 printers)

Navigate through the following steps:

  1. Control Panel
  2. Devices and Printers
  3. Right Click your printers icon
  4. Printer Preferences
  5. ‘Tools’ Tab
  6. ‘Query’ Button
  7. Once the data has populated (be patient) then save as:  query_your.serial.number.txt
  8. If Support requested a query file please attach it to your existing web case or email thread, thank you.

I Don’t see the ‘Tools Tab’

You likely have an older version of the driver.

You can update to the latest driver and firmware in the Drivers and Downloads Section related to your product.

Right Click your printers icon > Printer Properties

Wait for the query information to arrive, then click Save.  It will be really helpful if you can Save the query file as:

Please name your file with your printers serial number:

  • Generation 1 printers will have a letter in the serial number: 12F3456.txt
  • Generation 2 printers will not have a letter, just 8 digits: 12345678.zip

If Technical Support have requested a query file please attach it to your existing web case or email thread, thank you… 🙏
